December 30, 2007

I saw him walk pass. He did not stop for me. He went on and on. He picked up speed. I started following. I took my time. Till I lost sight of him. I panicked. I ran. I ran as fast as I could. On the way I saw a rabbit.

Rabbit asked, "Why are you running?" I said, "I'm looking for my friend, did you see where he went?" Rabbit replied, "I've no idea where your friend went, but I'm sure you're missing these fields of beautiful lavender." I turned and saw a whole patch of purple sweet smelling lavender field. Anxiety filled my heart. There was no way I could take in such alluring scene. I thanked the rabbit and ran on.

Not long after, I saw a Kangaroo. Kangaroo asked, "Yo Mate! What's the hurry?" I repeated that I was looking for my friend and asked if he had seen him pass by. Kangaroo replied, "Nay Mate, Why the rush to see him?" I thought for a moment and said, "I don't want to lose him Kangy!" Kangaroo said, "But you're losing the time you could spend on admiring this lovely sunflower fields!" Again I realised, I was in the middle of a humongous sunflower field. The sunflowers were beaming brightly at me. I took off again after Kangy left.

This time I slowed down. I took my time. I walked. I looked. I felt the surroundings. I let the wind embrace me. I allowed the sun to take me in. I enjoyed the time. I forgot all about him. Then he appeared behind me. "Hey!" he said, "I saw you at the lavender field! I called out for you but you didn't hear me and just ran on. What was the rush? I was to invite you to enjoy these beautiful sceneries together." I smiled and said nothing.
